Gallery of longarm quilting
Here are several quilts I finished for customers using my new longarm machine. These quilts have been returned to thier homes, but if you see something you like you may email me about building a custom quilt for you.
Texas Tech University Double Nine Patch Quilt (Winter/Spring 2011)

A woman in Texas contacted me about doing a double nine patch quilt for her daughter who was graduating from Texas Tech University. She wanted the quilt done using the school colors and we were lucky enough to find fabric that actually had the college logos and mascots on it for the backing. The quilt turned out really nice and they both enjoyed it.
Rainbow Railfence Quilt (Winter/Spring 2011)

This quilt was made by one of my local customers who just got into quilting a few years ago and is having a blast. I've done several quilts for her and she always brings me bright exciting colors. This quilt we went with a star pantograph for the longarm quilting using a purple variegated thread called Egyptian Princess. The back of the quilt was a beautiful batik in blues, purples, and dark pinks. With the stars quilted, it looked like a cloudy night sky.
Louisiana State University Quilt (Winter/Spring 2011)

This quilt was brought to me by a Tennessee lady who raises and trains Swissys, beautiful big dogs. Her daughter had just graduated college at LSU and was becoming a veterinarian and she wanted to make a quilt to remind her of that time. For the longarm quilting, she choose a paw print pantograph to cover the entire quilt. It turned out great. I can certainly respect all the time she put into hunting down each of the different pieces of fabric she used in this quilt.
Colts Fan Quilt (Winter/Spring 2011)

This quilt was mailed to me from a woman in Illinois who was making it for a neighbor that was a huge Colts fan. It was a really adorable t-shirt quilt and I enjoyed reading all the sayings. She had so many shirts that needed to be included in the quilt that she put t-shirts on front and back. I didn't have any problems quilting it with my longarm machine. She picked a nice football pantograph for the quilting and we used white thread. I was very happy to help her with this project.
African Pottery Trapunto Quilt (Winter/Spring 2011)

This quilt was made by a local woman who just started longarm quilting herself. I actually sold her my old machine when I upgraded last year. She enjoys doing pantographs but for the really large quilts and anything involving trapunto, she still comes to me. This quilt was a huge california king size quilt. We did a pantograph in the brightly colored boxes, in the ditch quilting and echo quilting in the black frames, and each of the four panels contained extensive custom quilting and trapunto. I did a very tight stippling in the blue background and brought out the details in the clothing and pottery with quilting. It looks lovely from the front, but the true beauty is on the back of the quilt where all the quilting stands out.
