The Log Cabin is one of America's oldest patchwork patterns. It is traditional for each block to have a light and a dark side, representing different aspects of our lives. Lights generally meant birth, marriage, and happy surprises. Dark fabrics generally meant funerals, divorce, crop failures, ect. In the past, a red square was always used in the center of each block and it represented the chimney or hearth in every home. Today many colors are used as the center square and each has a special meaning. A center of red could simply mean love or a center of yellow could represent welcome.
I would be happy to select fabrics in the colors of your choice and piece together this top in a size you need. This is only for piecing the top together. If you would like me to finish the quilt for you as well, please see my long arm quilting services for prices.
I only use top quality materials from respectable Quilting Shops. Prices include fabric cost, shopping time/shipping fees, and the time it takes me to piece the quilt top together. All piecing is done by machine, no hand piecing, and the blocks for this log cabin measure about 12" square.
Please use the drop down menu above to select which size you would like your custom quilt to be. I will email you for your color selections or you may list what you would like in the notes section at checkout.
