This quilt requires attending two class sessions. In the first class we will go over fabric selection, how to cut your templates, fusing fabrics together, working with bias tape, and pressing techniques that won't distort your designs. Your homework will be to quilt your finished block. We normally allow 2 weeks between the first session and the second so everyone has time to finish thier blocks. You will be given an instruction packet, as well as a business card with my cell number on it, in case you have any problems with the "homework".
In the second session, we will go over how to turn your quilted block into a pillow. You will prepare overlapping double hemmed flaps for the back so your pillow form can be inserted and removed for cleaning. You will then be guided through the construction of your pillow and various types of stitching that will help reinforce your seams. You will have a completed pillow by the end of this session.
The total cost of the class is $25.00 and must be paid in full before the first session. That price is only for the lesson and does not include materials. You are welcome to bring scraps from your personal fabric stash or fabric may be purchased at any fabric store.
You are welcome to contact me if you have any questions about the class.
