Welcome to Candlewood Quilts Custom Family Photo Quilt

Welcome to Candlewood Quilts

Providing longarm quilting services, handmade quilts for sale, and custom quilt making.

Last year we had many orders for Memory Quilts, both T-Shirt Quilts and Photo Quilts.  We will be continuing to offer these very special and completely customizable quilts to our customers.  We also have a handful of the Flower Fairy Quilt Kits left, based on fabrics made by Micheal Miller.  Once these are gone there won't be any more.  These kits include all the fabric needed to make a throw sized quilt top and very detailed instructions.  We also carry King Tut Thread and Quilters Dream Cotton Batting to help get all those quilt projects done.

This is a small home based business located about an hour outside Memphis, TN.  Here you will find a collection of custom Handmade Quilts I've created, as well as the Longarm Quilting Services I'm currently offering.  I started quilting over ten years ago and became a professional longarm quilter two years.  I do longarm quilting with my stitch regulated APQS Millineum Longarm Quilting Machine, either hand guided or computer guided.  I enjoy longarm quilting and I'm eager to use my longarm to help others finish thier quilt tops.  I do not mass produce anything.  It takes time and a great deal of care to create these family heirlooms.

All my quilts are hand cut and machine sewn, with bindings still being done by hand. I use fine cotton fabrics and cotton batting, so all quilts are completely machine washable. For the quilts displaying trapunto, I use a 16 oz. polyester batting specifically designed to make trapunto stand up on quilt tops.

I have an APQS Millenium longarm system with a 14 ft table, so I can now do California King Size quilts and even bedspreads.  I use my longarm with a PC Quilter Side Mount to make it computer controlled.  We all know fabric moves and nothing can be perfect, but I require a high level of accuracy in my quilting and this longarm set up allows me to achieve it.

I am currently teaching beginner and intermediate level quilting classes at my studio located on the second floor of my home.  I'd be happy to help you make your first quilt in a friendly environment.  Contact me for the current class schedule or if you need help with a project.

I've tried to offer a variety of longarm quilting options, both in quilt sizes and quilting styles.  Please use the drop down menus on the longarm quilting pages to select how many/what type of designs you would like quilted, the batting you want in your quilt, the thread colors you would prefer for the quilting, and how you would like the binding prepared.   Make sure you read the section on how to prepare your quilt top for shipping on the Longarm Info page.  I also ask that you print out the Longarm Order Form and include that in the box with your quilt top.  There is space on there for any special instructions or questions.

Please check out the Galleries on the left to view a wide selection of past quilts and current projects.  I hope my quilts bring pleasure to others and warmth to each home they find.
